If your relative is applying for a Czech long-stay visa or family reunification visa to stay with you permanently, they need the Comprehensive plan with at least 400,000 EUR coverage, meeting the Czech Type D visa requirement.

Yes. All plans can be bought entirely online with a future start date. You do not need to be physically present in Czech Republic. Pay by international card and receive the policy document by email. It is accepted by Czech embassies worldwide.
