What Czech law requires
Under § 180i of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., all non-EU nationals applying for a long-term visa or residence permit in Czech Republic must hold comprehensive health insurance with a minimum coverage limit of 400,000 EUR per insured event, with no deductible. Emergency-only or travel insurance is not accepted for long-stay applications.
